Planned giving provides for charitable gifts through your will or estate plan. The Portland Rotary Charitable Trust welcomes planned gifts as a way to ensure the long-term stability and maintenance of the trust’s charitable activities. Specifically, planned gifts:
- Leave a lasting legacy for all the community impacted by the Charitable Trust
- Can entitle you to income and charitable tax deductions during your lifetime
Giving Options
The Simplest are gifts directly from your estate; however, the following options may allow a charitable deduction and other advantages during your lifetime:
- Charitable Unitrusts
- Charitable Remainder Annuity Trusts
- Charitable Lead Trusts
- Donor Advised Funds
Assets to Give
- Cash
- Securities
- Real estate
- Personal property
Support Options
- Unrestricted to the PRCT (the Trust may use according to the greatest need)
- Restricted to a PRCT committee or a specific purpose. You can designate to committees such as:
- Wheels-of-Power
- Community Grants
- Domestic Violence Solutions
