Planned giving provides for charitable gifts through your will or estate plan. The Portland Rotary Charitable Trust welcomes planned gifts as a way to ensure the long-term stability and maintenance of the trust’s charitable activities. Specifically, planned gifts:

  • Leave a lasting legacy for all the community impacted by the Charitable Trust
  • Can entitle you to income and charitable tax deductions during your lifetime

 

Giving Options

The Simplest are gifts directly from your estate; however, the following options may allow a charitable deduction and other advantages during your lifetime:

  • Charitable Unitrusts
  • Charitable Remainder Annuity Trusts
  • Charitable Lead Trusts
  • Donor Advised Funds

Assets to Give

  • Cash
  • Securities
  • Real estate
  • Personal property

Support Options

  1. Unrestricted to the PRCT (the Trust may use according to the greatest need)
  2. Restricted to a PRCT committee or a specific purpose. You can designate to committees such as:
  • Wheels-of-Power
  • Community Grants
  • Domestic Violence Solutions
