peace and the non-violent resolution of conflict
The Mission of the Peacebuilders Committee of the Rotary Club of Portland is to encourage and empower all members of our communities to exercise mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation, and to advocate globally and locally for peace and the non-violent resolution of conflict.
This committee meets the 4th Tuesday each month at 11:00AM at the governor Hotel. We also have evening meetings the 2nd Tuesday at 7:00PM at various locations for discussion of peace issues.
As part of the Peace Committee’s Conversation Project presentations, Walidah Imarisha from PSU, presented a program entitled “Why aren’t there more Black People in Oregon.”
