Thanks to 72 members in our club, Mike Riley of Riley Research Associates and fellow Rotarian, compiled a survey of the thoughts and opinions of our membership. The leadership of the club is looking forward to responding to your interests and questions over the coming year. In the meantime, I would like to publicly respond to some of your questions over the coming months and hope to address some of your concerns.
For starters, I thought I’d highlight some of the more interesting outcomes from the survey:
- On average, members spend 5 hours per month OUTSIDE of Tuesday meetings on Rotary work: THANK YOU to all of you who dedicate so much time to our club and make it as successful as it is.
- On a scale of 1-5, on average, our members scored Rotary as a 4 in terms of priority in their lives. To us, this means that those of you engaged in the club hold it to an incredibly high esteem and intentionally set Rotary above some of your other priorities in your lives. For this we are so grateful.
- Our members find committee work to be the most valuable aspect of their Rotary experience. Get involved with committees if you aren’t already! This is where the real impact happens!
Thank you again for those of you who participated in this informative survey. Watch out for more responses from me over the coming months.
