A new record set for our 82 years of bell-ringing

The Rotary Club of Portland broke its record for fundraising in our 82nd year of bell-ringing for the Salvation Army in December!  I announced that the actual 90-minute bell ringing this year raised a little over $21,000, but there was one more event to be added in.  It was a party at the home of Bruce and Rene Kerr.  They could not be there for the actual bell ringing day so they had an alternate party for friends.  Rotary Club member Adam Fyn got the Salvation Army Band to come to the event.  The event was very successful!  Our grand total for bell ringing this year came to $26,811.34 which broke our old record of $25,559 in 2005.  Congrats to all who helped and donated this year!
