The Cyprus Friendship Program aka CP 2017 teens will be here from the divided island of Cyprus located in the Mediterranean Sea. They will share with you what it is like living in a divided country where you are taught that those on the other side of the border are your enemies. Hear their stories, their perspectives and their hopes. CFP strives to bring teens from both sides of the border to participate in a Peace and Conflict resolution program. They are the voices of their future and they are committed to unifying the island once again. Enjoy this very heart warming and educational program.

Tammy has been a Rotarian for 16 years and Past President and member of Lewis River Rotary Club in Battle Ground, WA. She and her husband Vern hosted a pair of girls in 2012 that were part of the CFP program. They traveled there in August of 2013 for a two week trip to spend time with their girls and their families and saw first hand the beauty of the island but also the differences between the border. In 2016 they took over as the CFP Area Coordinators from Jack Bradley of the Portland Pearl Club. An all volunteer role, their role and goal is to find host families willing to share some time to have a pair of teens for one month or two weeks when they are here during July only. They coordinate the required curriculm which includes finding facilitators and locations to have the activities at. They are avid supporters of Rotary Youth Exchange and passionate about being able to support Peace building efforts in Cyprus.
