Looking for a volunteer opportunity? Look no further! We're working with Portland New Generations to provide some more volunteer opportunities throughout the year. This month, join Portland New Generations Rotary Club at The Children's Book Bank to help clean and prepare donated books for distribution on Feb. 12. RSVP instructions below.

The Children's Book Bank mission is "to increase the chances for children to succeed as future readers, learners, and citizens by filling their homes and lives with quality books."

During this service event, we will be cleaning and preparing donated books for distribution. Please see below for information regarding children attending this event:

Children ages 8 and up can participate in this event. Participants under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by their parent or guardian and all participants under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult. If you plan on bringing a child age 8 or above to the event, please contact Renita Patel to obtain a waiver.

There is a small parking lot on site. Here is a link for suggested parking in the area:

When you arrive, please enter the building through the parking lot door next to the big rolling door.

We will be sitting for this event. The warehouse space has heat, but temperature can fluctuate. Dressing in layers is recommended.

After sprucing up books, we'll get to eat some food and drinks at Ex Novo Brewing Co. located at 2326 N Flint Avenue for those that want to join!
