Patrick Galvin has been connected to Rotary since 1989. After graduating from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, Patrick was awarded a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship that funded his studies of Latin American history at the Graduate School of History at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. Patrick has been a member of the Rotary Club of Portland since 2012. After serving as the club’s membership chair for two years, he joined the club’s Trust Board for which he currently serves as treasurer. In 2015, he presented at the Rotary International Convention in São Paulo, Brazil. Patrick is also the chief galvanizer of The Galvanizing Group, a marketing communications company in Portland, that helps businesses increase credibility, visibility, and sales without advertising. Patrick is a past president of the Oregon Chapter of the National Speakers Association and has presented on business relationship building to companies and associations throughout the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Europe. Patrick’s business parable The Connector’s Way: A Story About Building Business One Relationship at a Time has received more than 175 reviews on Amazon and sold more than 10K copies since its publication in 2016.
