The presentation will include the Zidell family vision for the re-development of its 33 acre site in South Waterfront, home to the family’s industrial businesses for the past 90 years. Zidell Yards is a 5 million square foot mixed use development which includes office, residential, retail and open space. Phase 1 construction will start in 2018 with buildings opening in 2021.


Charlene Zidell, a native Oregonian, is a member of the third generation of the Zidell family. She was a public sector labor lawyer in Portland for over 25 years. She earned her law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School and her undergraduate degree from Oregon State University. She currently sits on the boards of Komen of Oregon & SW Washington, United Way of the Columbia-Willamette, B’nai Brith Camp, EngAGE OR and the Advisory Committee of Compassion & Choices.   Ms. Zidell joined the family businesses as Director of Corporate Relations and Communications in 2012. She currently spends the majority of her time incorporating the family’s vision into the Zidell Yards development project.
