Youth Exchange

Our club typically sponsors two inbound and two outbound students for Youth Exchange. Exchange students are high school age and spend about a year in their host country. We don’t have exchanges with every country in the world that has a Rotary Club, there is a list of countries that our District has exchange programs with. There are also shorter summer youth exchange programs. Applicants for these programs must apply about a year in advance of their departure.

Typically an inbound youth exchange student lives with 3 families during the year.  Please contact us for more information.

The Department of State implemented a toll-free number (1-866-283-9090) for secondary school students, effective as of August 1, 2009.  The toll-free number can be used by host families, exchange students and the public to report circumstances impacting the students’ health, safety and well-being during their exchange visitor programs.
